Koala sighted on Gap Creek Road
A koala has been spotted on a private property in Gap Creek Rd (number 202). It was approximately 200 metres from Gap Creek Rd and was seen initially by tradesmen working on the property.

The Courier Mail is today reporting that the State government has scrapped plans for a Western Bypass in favour of a tunnel option.
In January 2008 the Lord Mayor Campbell Newman advised Gap residents by letter that “… traffic volumes would be likely to double by the year 2016 following an upgrade of Gap Creek Road.
A document dated October 1999 prepared by the Brisbane City Council (BCC), that has just been discovered by the Gap Community Association, indicates that the BCC is predicting traffic on Gap Creek Road to increase by 554% by 2011 if the upgrade goes ahead.
The Brisbane City Council (BCC) Election for The Gap Ward will take place on Saturday 15th March 2008 to elect our Local Government Representative for the next four years.
