At the Gap Community Association’s (GCA) Annual General Meeting held on August 27, the following office bearers were elected unopposed for the 2007/08 financial year:
April’s meeting of the Gap Community Association (GCA) saw presentations from Brisbane City Council (BCC) consultant Donna Marshall, the Hon, Michael Johnson, Federal Member for Ryan, BCC Councillor for The Gap Ward, Geraldine Knapp and GCA members.
The results are in and the people of The Gap have voted ‘no’ to an upgrade of Gap Creek and Dillon Roads.
This year promises to be an active and challenging year for the GCA with a number of significant issues threatening to impact on our beautiful suburb. Already we are witnessing the spectre of Settlement Road becoming a major 4-lane road/highway, connecting with Samford, Illowra, Payne/Dillon Roads and slicing right through The Gap with a huge [...]

Car parking at the Gap Markets
Noted that a reply dated October 4 has been received from Retail Management Qld Pty Ltd advising that a Traffic Engineer has been engaged to investigate the concerns raised by the Gap Community Association (GCA). Agreed that this matter be kept on the Agenda for ongoing review.
