Status of Gap Creek Road study

Following a recent executive meeting of the Gap Community Association (GCA), President Andrew McMicking wrote to the Brisbane Lord Mayor, Campbell Newman, to enquire about the status of a study of Gap Creek Road.

When the BCC budget was handed down last year, it was announced that a study would occur into Gap Creek/Dillon Road - notably safety aspects of this route. It was advised that the study should be finalised by the end of 2005/start of 2006.

The Lord Mayor was requested to provide any information available about the recommendations or findings of the study as the Gap Creek/Dillon Road route between The Gap and Kenmore, and its future, is a major issue for many residents at The Gap.
